The 'Motor' of this concert was built from the core of the 'Mild Maniac Orchestra' with Volker Kriegel on guitar and Thomas Bettermann on keyboards. Completed was the line-up with three extraordinary musicians: The very special Eberhard Weber on bass, Wolfgang Schlueter on vibraphon and Ralf Huebner on drums. Calm, pending sounds, sequences like soundtracks for movies, artful swapping, virtuos ending in swinging solos and finally far settling into melancholic prevailing moods with sublimal, quit pleasureness, which made everything Volker Kriegel did so distinctive.
This unique concert was recorded at the legendary Jazzfest 1981 in Berlin.
