the form of a songbook by her agent, Orly Beigel. This moving
concert film documents the two in Bergen-Belsen, where Orly's
mother was imprisoned and later liberated by the U.S. Army from
a train near Farsleben in 1945. With great sensitivity and depth,
Ute Lemper brilliantly reveals the range of emotions of the interned
composers and pays a heartfelt musical tribute to their profound
wartime experiences.
