Stirring adventures of a dog named Bearheart, whose fierce loyalty drives him to track down the drunken hunter who shot and killed his master. The rugged mountains of the Northwest provide the background for the chase, which ends when the hunter finally surrenders after collapsing from exhaustion and shock. Left now on his own, haunted by a fear of guns, Bearheart faces many challenges to survival in the wilderness until he finds a new family who need his courage and adopt him for his devotion.
