This DVD relates the stories, heart-warming and sometimes tragic of the city children that a well intentioned but possibly misguided government sent to the countryside to take shelter from German bombings. Compiled from both archive photographs and film footage the subject is explored by experts in this field and the memories of the children themselves, now grown old, but with scars yet to heal.
