'At 42 years old, Yoav has it all: he's handsome, independent, charismatic and a talented architect. The two most important people in his life are Dan, his lover of 15 years - a younger lawyer who adores him, and his best friend, Alma - a successful artist, who is like a mother and a sister to him. Yoav's tight grasp on his life begins to come apart. Of all things, the news of Alma's pregnancy starts throwing things off track for him. A medical procedure that he undergoes reminds him of the death of his mother when he was a child, and represents the ultimate lack of control - his own mortality. His charmed life spirals out of control as Yoav succumbs to a familiar self destructive behavior. He leaves home and destroys everything he has along the way - his relationship with Dan, his friendship with Alma, and his career. He moves into a run down, dirty apartment, and surrenders to a routine of nightly cruising and
random sex. As Yoav weighs the elements of his life, he slowly understands who he is, but also the limits of his own self control.
He tries desperately to pull the pieces together, face his greatest fears, and rebuild his life.'
