In this coming-of-age story, Erica Clements's blessed life is turned upside down by her mother's death and her father's subsequent depression, which leaves them financially destitute. Her nemesis, Marcy Spencer, moves into the luxury cottage she once called home, sending Erica further into a downward spiral. Now at rock bottom, Erica sets out to steal her life back--through a series of comically chaotic events involving a unicorn paddleboat. Aided by two unlikely heroes, her frenemy Marcy, and her seemingly crazy but enlightened father, Erica is about to discover what it means to let go of the life she thought she deserved. Is it possible that losing it all could be the greatest gift?
